What are they?
Fort Bucks are local dollars that can only be spent in Fort St. James.
They can be purchased by anyone and used for shopping, dining, services, as employee gifts, giveaways and
more at participating businesses in town. They’re accepted at participating local businesses and work just like
cash, but with one important difference: Fort Bucks stay in our community.

How do they work?
They work similar to cash, present your Fort Bucks at checkout and the amount will cover or go towards your total purchase.
Change cannot be given and they are not redeemable for cash.

Why do they matter?
When you spend Fort Bucks, you are supporting local jobs, local families, and local businesses. Studies show that dollars spent locally are more likely to stay in the community and be re-spent multiple times- strengthening our local economy and
helping our town thrive.
